Free Effect Veiler!

During your opponent's Main Phase, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to select 1 face-up Effect Monster your opponent controls. Negate the effect(s) of that monster until the End Phase.

Effect Veiler has hit a new high with the new Fast Effect Timing rule. Any monster that has a spell speed 1 or ignition effect gets hammered by this card. It was really good before, but now it has reached broken status. Almost every monster in the game now has an effect and most of them activate on the field and therefore get hit by Effect Veiler.
The top 3 decks in the game right now, depend on the effects of their key monsters. Dino Rabbit need to have the Rabbit or Tour Guide to go off to be successful. Veiler stops that. Wind-Ups need Rat, Hunter or Tour Guide to resolve successfully to be successful. Inzector’s are the least effected but still need the effects of Centipede and Dragonfly to be consistent.
Effect Veiler also gives us a light monster, so if we are running a dark deck, we can run the all mighty Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning. It is also a Tuner, so if you have a monster on the field with a decent level, you can always Synchro summon a monster. Mind Control also becomes viable in your deck.

If you are not running 3 Effect Veilers in your decks these days, you probably are going to have some problems competing at the top levels.

Free Maestroke the Symphony Djinn

2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; change it to face-down Defense Position. If a face-up "Djinn" Xyz Monster you control would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from that monster instead.

Maestroke sports a respectable 1800 ATK and a rather sturdy 2300 DEF. 2300 doesn't defend a lot if he were 2100, although 2300 with a boost from Gates of Dark World does start walling some big things. 2100 (with a Gates boost) is also pretty good, and can get pretty astounding from further boosts from Muzurhythem or Temtempo, or also 2600 ATK from a single Solidarity.

Now for his effect. Now, once per turn, during your Main Phase, Maestroke can flip an opposing Attack position monster facedown. It really is a shame he can't target monsters already in Defence position. Even being a Quick Effect would be useful, but otherwise, you won't use the effect much outside of trying to block a monster's effect (such as Utopia's or Stardust's) or to put an attack target into a more vulnerable state (such as Caius or Stardust).

His protection effect is not necessarily bad. It's better than nothing. However, he takes off the Xyz Material of the monster that's about to be destroyed, which is a problem because for the other Djinn Xyzs, I'd much rather conserve their materials for THEIR own offensive purposes. Maestroke could've been better if he used his own Xyz Material as a Quick Effect so that no Djinn Xyzs can be destroyed that turn. That might be a little broken, but I would still like it if Mae could draw upon his own Material to save at least one Djinn Xyz, or perhaps extending his effect to ALL Xyz's.

A good wall yes, and can get some pretty scary boosts off the other Djinns. I might splash him into random decks, if only to make the most out of his flipping effect. I'd use him in a Djinn Deck, but the question arises to why not summon Queen Dragun, another Rank 4 Djinn Xyz with 400 more ATK. But at least Maestroke is a safer option lest Queen Dragun runs into a Bottomless Trap Hole and whatnot. I've been hearing and seeing things how Maestroke is a powerful Extra Deck splash. You can take other people's words for it, but, in terms of splashability, I do agree that Maestroke is useful, albeit very limited in what he can accomplish.

Free Temtempo the Percussion Djinn

2 Level 3 monsters Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 Xyz Monster your opponent controls; detach 1 Xyz Material from that monster, and all face-up "Djinn" Xyz Monsters you currently control gain 500 ATK.

Temtempo the Percussion Djinn has a pretty nifty effect making it a good anti-Xyz monster. All we have to do is summon Temtempo and use its effect to strip one of your opponent’s Xyz materials from their monster. This by itself would be good, but now we are going to increase all of our Djinn monster’s attack’s by 500. Then on your opponent’s draw phase, you can use the effect again thus giving your Djinn monsters a total of 1000 attack boost. That means that Temtempo will be at 2700 attack and able to protect itself and your opponent’s Xyz monster is not going to have any material on it to activate its effects. Those are effects that are worthy of an extra deck spot.

It is really good to use Temtempo against Xyz monsters like Laggia, Zenmaines, and especially Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction as they will not be able to activate any of their effects by the time you activate your effect again on the draw phase. Acid Golem will not be able to detach a material and your opponent will take 2000 damage.

All in all, Temtempo the Percussion Djinn has the potential to make a spot in the extra deck of most decks.
